Hiroki Takeda, who was born in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, is an artist who is very good at watercolor painting. In the paintings, flowers and plants are integrated into everything. While giving life to it, it also shows the imagination of integrating all things with nature. His painting style combines the realism and cuteness of animals, with detailed brushstrokes and bright colors. You can feel the vibrancy of the animals in the paintings as if they are moving. His artistic career started in Europe, and now he not only receives widespread support from North America and Japan, but has also been shared by overseas media. Now there are a large number of fans in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Not only are new original works sold out instantly every time they go on sale, but now even commission artworks have more than 200 people ordering, which will be completed by 2026, two and a half years later.

Hiroki Takeda is an artist who continuously depicts an ideal world where life coexists through the gentle medium of watercolor painting. In this solo exhibition, to pursue “a world where other forms of life are not sacrificed by human-centric values”, he has turned his attention to the culture and art of the Edo period, a time before industrialization, and created a series of works that pay homage to “Ukiyo-e”.
