Yang Xiaojian was born in Taiyuan China 1960.
He has successfully held many solo exhibitions in France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan among other countries. His work has been regarded as one of the most important innovators of contemporary Chinese calligraphy. He combined traditional calligraphy with contemporary art and developed a new abstract visual ink art language.
The artist's work reveals a profound interaction between form and color, where the interplay between imagery and emotion creates a dialogue between reality and idealism. Through these collisions, we can discern both the roughness and delicacy in the artist's expression. In each piece, the artist embeds a part of their soul, using the canvas as a refuge to convey their reflections on life.
