Eunju Kim, born in 1965, has dedicated over thirty years to her art, exclusively using a pencil on paper with unwavering commitment and vigor. After graduating from Silla University (formerly Busan Women’s University) with a degree in Fine Art in 1989 and completing her graduate studies at the same institution in 1992, Kim has established herself in both national and international art scenes.
Eunju Kim has held numerous solo exhibitions that highlight her unique artistic vision. Notable solo exhibitions include 2016 exhibition at Posco Art Museum in Seoul, 2014 at Art Stage Singapore, Gallery Caution in Tokyo, Haewaspace in Gwangju and etc. Additionally, she actively participated in numerous group exhibitions and art fairs, enhancing her international presence. Her recent engagements include the 2024 Galleries Art Fair at COEX in Seoul, the 2023 Kiaf SEOUL at COEX in Seoul, the special exhibition “zero-point” at Busan Museum of Art, ARTBUSAN at BEXCO in Busan, Intermission at Gallery MAC in Busan, and a joint exhibition with Sundoo Kim and Yongkook Jeong at Kyobo Art Space in Seoul. In 2022, the special exhibition “Prayer for Life” at MMCA Gwacheon Gallery 1, 2, and the Main hall in Gwacheon. She also participated in Kiaf SEOUL at COEX in Seoul and the Busan Art Show at BEXCO in Busan.
Kim’s significant contributions to the art world have been recognized through various awards and accolades. In 2001, she received the Young Artist Award at the 1st Artist Today Award, organized by the Busan Fine Arts Association.
Eunju Kim’s artworks are part of prestigious collections, including the Busan Museum of Art, Pohang Museum of Steel Art, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art’s Art Bank, and various private collections. These collections reflect the high regard for her work in both public institutions and private circles.
